I visualize a new format for cricket or any other game as well. It is : A world cup among paired nations i.e. two nations joint team. I wish India & Pakistan were put in a joint team. This way we will come closer. Otherwise, present sports between Indo-Pak make it a war only. I bet we will bag world cup in cricket, hockey or any team game for sure if we are paired.
In fact, India & Pakistan are either friends or enemies. Put them in one pool, they will behave like brothers. The peculiarity of the behavior between the two nations can be judged everyday at Wagah Border where the people from both nations shout patriotic slogans for their own nations making it a warlike situation but as soon as the retreat ceremony is over, they look into the eyes of the fellows on the other side & start waiving hands. Why Shoab Akhtar looks so lovely when speaks on indian TV channels( & so ugly when on Pakistani channels) ?
I appreciate TOI from India & Jung from Pakistan for their Aman Ki Asha movement. I call upon these two major media houses to make groups of all the neighboring countries & organize a Cricket World Cup as a peace initiative.
